A little bit of background.
As a parent, and a member of Constantiaberg Church, I have certainly shared in the growing pains and victories that have come with the mighty task of pointing our kids towards the knowledge and love of God, and God's love for them!

There have been many seasons and faces of the children's church of late and in its most recent phase, we've taken a fresh approach to the way we do the kid's ministry. With the help of some expert advice, we are working hard to tailor our approach for the needs of the children we serve. It is so much fun to see how the children respond with such eagerness to activities and I am realising anew how 'sponge-like' children are! We really have to be mindful of this fact and ensure or children 'absorb' the right stuff!

I feel that my 3 children (all with different needs and with such varied ways in which they approach/respond to life) have already grown into a family environment where they feel comfortable and loved. I am truly grateful and excited for what the Lord is preparing amongst us as a family!

A little bit more about our children's ministry...
Currently we have 2 age groups that enjoy interactive lessons and
games, all facilitated towards the life application of God's precious Word. The groups are divided roughly 5yrs and under (those who aren't yet reading) and 5yrs and up. As the church grows numerically, we will split the groups further.

Did you know?
It is a proven fact that children will learn much more by being involved in the lesson, than by just being an observer! ... That's why we structure our lessons in the way that we do, so as to stimulate as many of the senses as possible, in order to help our children have a fuller understanding of God's creation... and love story! We use puppetry, games, songs, interactive play, arts and crafts etc.

P.S. If you are planning to visit or join our church meetings, parents are welcome to tag along initially to children's ministry, to help their kids become comfortable in their new surroundings. (Watch out though... you might be roped into a skit or puppet show!! Come pioneer with us!)

Love in Christ,
Annie Cadman
